chrome crashes on opening
Chrome has just started crashing when I open it.
I have deleted and reinstalled Chrome.
I am running High Sierra 10.13.06 on a Late 2009 iMac 21.5 inch
I click on Chrome. It appears to install OK, I can do things in it, like switch tabs, or start typing an address, but then it quits within 10 seconds and I get a long report page saying Google Chrome quit unexpectedly.
The report says Thread 0 crashed
Crashed Thread: 0 CrBrowserMain Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread
Exception Type: EXC_BREAKPOINT (SIGTRAP)
Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000
I don't know whether it is linked, but I found out the problem after I had another problem opening a page on my share broker's app (SaxoTrader) and the Saxo help person asked me to try opening their app in Chrome (I loaded Opera and it can open the SaxoTrader site OK).
I have tried opening Chrome and Saxo in "Safe" mode, and get the same errors.
While I was looking at the Chrome error, I opened the "About this Mac" screen and did a system report. When I looked at "storage" I saw two Volumes, one Mac OS X, with 231GB available and 499GB capacity, and another volume named Google Chrome with ) Kb available and 228M capacity. But now that Google volume doesn't show.
