Is it worth upgrading a 2011 iMac?

Hi all. My question is, I have a mid 2011 iMac. I’ve posted previously that it is quite slow and it turns out it has a failing hard drive. My question is... Is it worth upgrading it financially? I’ll need more ram as it’s just 4GB, a new hard drive, better processor (if that’s poss?), graphics card? or bite the bullet and just buy a new one? Thanks for advice.

Too late to upgrade from Mac OS High Sierra? Have 2017 iMac. Never updated OS from High Sierra (some concern/fear due to something we heard of inability to use Adobe audio software early on). Is it too late -- will I destroy my iMac? Is there enough memory on this older iMac to do latest upgrade? Yes I do hard disc back up LaCie on weekly basis. Nervous about attempting update - afraid it will destroy computer. Thanks in advanced for info/help.

the fact that a new 21..5 inch iMac sells at Costco for under $1000

Avoid the base Model, avoid the i3 CPU. avoid 8GB of RAM do 16GB, avoid the 5400 RPM drive, needs an SSD to not make you cry waiting for things to happen.

Yes, I would not spend the money on replacing the HD and RAM, I'd spend it towards a new Mac.
