Use of Conditional formula in Numbers

In Excel it is possible to create a 'IF AND' formula where a calculation will only happen if two conditions are true. Can anyone tell me if this is possible in Numbers and, if so, how would the formula be written in a cell. Many Thanks.

P.S. I have tried to find this on the net without success so if you know that this is not a feature of Numbers please tell me.

Hi Craig,

Both IF and AND functions are supported in Numbers, and work in essentially the same manner.

Syntax: IF(AND(expression1,expression2),if-true,if-false)

'Any' number of expressions can be added to the list in AND. AND will return true only if all expressions return true.

More detail on each othe these fnctions (and the rest of the functions supported in Numbers) is available in the Function Browser. To open the browser, click on any cell in a Numbers table, then type an = to open the Formula Editor (at that cell) and the Function Browser (in the right sidebar. The browser may be browsed by category, or searched by function name. Each entry contains a description of the function, including its syntax, and at least one example of how it can be used in a Numbers Document.

Barry
