iPhone connection to iMac

When I connect my iPhone 11 to my iMac the photo app keeps popping up and down nonstop and the phone keeps asking if I trust the iMac nonstop also. What's going on?

Mac goes haywire after connection iPhone Often when I connect my iPhone 11 Pro to my 2013 MacBook Pro (running Catalina) the Photos program open and tried to access my phone as it should. However my computer goes haywire. The phone briefly (less than a second) appears on the photos app and states it's trying to access the phone (which is unlocked and open). Then my phone's icon disappears from the photos app, then reappears, then disappears, then reappears, etc, in rapid succession. If I try and switch programs my Mac jumps back to the Photos app which continues to "tilt" iPhone-no iPhone-iPhone-no iPhone. Only by physically disconnecting my phone from my Mac do I get this to stop. But then my photos and videos are stuck on my phone. How do I solve this?

iPhone will not remember "Trusted" computer or display photos in MacOS Photos import view Hello, My iPhone appears to not remember the "Trusted" computer after I have selected "Trust" this computer. Each time I reconnect my phone via lightening cable, it asks if I trust this computer. I always select "Trust;" however, when I try to import my photos to MacOS Photos, the photos are all blank in the import screen. For a second, the photos appear - but they blank out. So I am unable to view and select the photos I want to import. In addition, it takes a long time for MacOS Photos to recognize that my iPhone is unlocked. p.s. I have also noticed that my phone is having issues connecting to CarPlay now too. So there must be an issue happening on my iPhone XS Max. I have already tried "Reset Location & Privacy," cleaned the lightening port, "Hard Restarting" the iphone, restarting the MacBook, and tried different Apple made lightening cables. Are there any other solutions? Thank you, Shane

Thank you for replying. It did not solve the issue. After a little more research, I realized it was the cable.

This is probably happening because your have checked Photos on Finder / iTunes

Connect iPhone

When phone is connected

Finder > Photos Tab > Uncheck Sync Or Sync to any other folder other than Photos App.
