I use to the play sound feature in Find my iPhone to notify my daughter when she isn't responding to texts. I can no longer find it in the app. Was this a change by apple or something via settings either by me or in my daughters phone?

That function has not been removed.
I used it yesterday, when I logged int icloud.com on a web browser and I still see that option on my ipad/iphone in find my app.
What happened to "Play Sound" in the Find my iPhone app.
