Facetime with android

I know this question has been asked before, but the most recent answer I could find is several months ago. Things might have changed or might change in the near future (never stop hoping).

I am looking for a way to communicate at distance with a family member. She has an ipad with facetime, and due to her mental state this is the only way she knows how to connect. I only have a work-related apple id, but no device to use it on at home. Because of these restrictions, using another app (I know there are so many), is not an option. Therefore I'd like to know a way to use facetime with my apple id on my android tablet.

If there is no possibility whatsoever, feel free to answer so. I don't need to know about similar apps for both Apple and Android, it is easy enough for me to use, but not for her. Buying an apple device myself is not an option either, for obvious financial reasons 😉.

Borrowing an appledevice from someone, and 'pollute' it with my apple id, is the only other option I might try, although I'd rather prevent that.

Unfortunately you can only make FaceTime calls between two Apple devices as FaceTime is not available on any other platform (Windows, Android etc.).
