Trusty Macbook Pro 2015 Accident .... New Monitor

I have had a disaster, stuck at home on furlough my trusty 2015 Macbook Pro was dropped and the screen smashed ... I dont want to retire it , so was thinking could i use it with a 4k monitor? I am not very good when it comes to the tech side of new monitors etc so if anyone could point me in the direction of what i would need to get it sorted ... It would be appreciated ...
