Ipad on boot loop, in restore mode but cannot restore or update because disk is full

Ipad in boot loop, can connect to mac and activate restore mode but cannot restore or update device from itunes because disk is full.

How can I access the ipad to clear up space ?

I tried to restore it via DFU but that didn't work either, it just resulted in the same bootloop. I've had this issue earlier where it was resolved by using a USB-A to Lightning cable (not the USB-C to Lightning cable that comes in the box) but I don't have that anymore. I don't assume this is a normal thing everyone has to do do just to restore an iPad, is there anyone else who's had the same issue? Any help would be appreciated!

a software update is required to restore your iphone We have found this warning to never install and will also brick the iPhone or iPad. Cannot restore by bypassing either. We see this in macOS and Configurator

Hello,

If you were restoring your iPad to factory settings then your iPad’s available storage would not matter (as it will be completely erased). Is your computer’s internal storage full? When iTunes prepares a device for restore, it will download the complete iPad system software which usually consumes several gigabytes.
