The photos app appears to be very changeable. When I first began using the Epson v37 scanner a couple of weeks ago all went well. Now I can't get the Epson to recognise the photos.app and I can't import directly from the scanner??? Also I have found there is a bug of some sort in the smart album which means that the 'album... is not... any' feature is no longer doing its job.

Thanks Rudegar, took a couple of days to get to it, but it does work with Image Capture... it did work with the photos app when I first started so I didn't think to try this.
