If I move my photo library to an external storage drive, how will this effect all these photos that I have backed up to iCloud

If I move my photo library to an external storage drive, how will this effect these photos that I have backed up to iCloud?

Also, when I transfer my photo library to an external storage drive, will I keep the Album Organization that I have in Photos or will this just be a mass photo dump to the external storage device without organization?
