iPad Smart Keyboard problem

My iPad Smart Keyboard only works sporadically nowadays. iPad and keyboard are a little over two years old, and there is a third party extended warranty that will run through Oct 2020. iPadOS running on 13.4.1. I already did a hard reset a few days ago, and it helped correct the situation for about two days. Now Smart Keyboard is nonfunctional again. I appreciate any suggestions to help me.
