Region issues

Nothing on Apple TV will play because it says its not available in my region?

Verify that you are located in the same region as the billing address of your Apple ID,

and that your device is also set to that same region,

and that your device is not using a VPN through a foreign server.

For national content providers, you IP address geo location should match their service area.


Users are not supposed to access out-of-region content.

Issue with Regions:


  • If Purchased in Other Regions:

Purchases are only available in the region in which they were purchased. So, if you are in a different region than where they were purchased in, then that is why they are inaccessible.


  • If Purchased in this Region:

Purchases made in your current region would work. But, yet, items are sometimes removed from the Apple Store, and, as a result, they no longer become accessible.


It all has to do with licensing between the studio and Apple.
