While attempting to delete unread emails last night, I’ve somehow managed to permanently delete every email in my inbox since 2016. Only unread emails were selected so I’ve no idea how this has happened. Is there a mechanism for recovering the emails?
Fortunately I was able to speak to Apple on the phone this morning and they were able to recover all the deleted emails. It was a delightful customer service experience. Certainly a satisfied customer!

If you permanently deleted mails from inbox they are erased from the iCloud server so can't be recovered see the article
