when I click a selection is added
When I click in mail, it extends the selection in stead of selecting the other mail.
Is this something I accidentely chose? And can I delect this option?

Thanks for your reply. My text was a bit off I see. Hope this is better:
I selected an email message. Then I want to select a different one. But it adds the second mail to the selection. I have to manually deselect the first mail and then select the other mail.
Its the same when I browse. In safari wen I click a link (I use the trackpad on the macbook) it opens a new Safari screen. When I use Chrome it opens the link in a second tab.
Open keyboard viewer & see if any modifier key highlights when clicking.
Do you have a cheap USB Mouse to test with?
Chris, I'm not clear what you mean... it extends the selection in stead of selecting the other mail.
