iOS Devices not appearing in finder when using WiFi

If I connect either my iPhone 11 Pro or iPad Pro to my Mac via a cable then that show up in Finder but if I don't use a cable then they don't show up in Finder.

I have Finder configured to show iOS devices in the side bar & I have Show This iPad/iPhone checked under the device settings but that doesn't seem to help.

This only started happening after updating my devices to iOS 13.5

Hello PlatnumK,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

I understand from your question that you are wanting to sync your device over WiFi. I can certainly help you with this!

This article will be a good resource for you. It will walk you through the necessary steps to resolve the issue.

Use the Finder to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with your computer

Sync your content using Wi-Fi
After you set up syncing with the Finder using USB, you can set up the Finder to sync to your device with Wi-Fi instead of USB.
Connect your device to your computer with a USB cable, then open a Finder window and select your device.
Select “Show this [device] when on Wi-Fi."
Click Apply.
When the computer and the device are on the same Wi-Fi network, the device appears in the Finder. The device syncs automatically whenever it's plugged in to power.

I hope this is able to resolve your issue. If you have any more questions or this does not resolve your issue, please reach back out on the thread!

Cheers.

PlatnumK,

Thank you for the additional information regarding your device.

When you go to Settings > General do you see an item titled 'iTunes Wi-Fi Sync?' If you do not see this option, iTunes Wi-Fi sync has still not been turned on for your device.

I would refer to this discussion post which goes in-depth with troubleshooting and has been answered by a Community Specialist > Wifi sync from iPhone not showing

Cheers.

Tried that, It doesn't work.

Things that I have tried -

Checking to make sure that finder sidebar is set to show iOS Devices

Made sure the Sync over WiFi is checked

Relaunched finder from the apple menu & from the Terminal

Rebooted

The problem only started after updating both my iPhone & iPad Pro to iOS 13.5, When they where on 13.4.1 I had not problems.
