What OS Would You Downgrade to If You Could?

Hi all,

I had to reboot my mac and am currently using El Capitan, version 10.11.6 (15G31). That's what my mac automatically installed when rebooting.

Now - as someone who had my fair share of issues with Catalina - I am in no rush to upgrade to that.

But - what do you recommend I should upgrade to?

Any outstanding advantages Sierra / High Sierra or Majoave have over Catalina? What are they?

Alternatively, you can shut me up with a really good comparison chart if you have one to refer me to :)
