iPod iOS 4 and 5 photos

I have photos on two iPods, iOS 4 and 5, which I would love to be able to get onto a laptop. There’s no access to the App Store on one of them and both will not allow me to email the photos out of the iPod. Any ideas how I could get the photos?

Photos on iPod I have a very old iPod and I have over 14,000 pictures on it, I cannot transfer them to a computer, when I open the DCIM folder it say there are no files however I have over 20gb of photos on it. I really want to transfer them because I recently both my dogs a month apart and there are literally hundreds of photos of them on this iPod. Is there any way I can transfer them, iTunes does not recognize the iPod and I think its because it is so old, tech has moved on. I tried transferring them to the Photo stream but I cannot transfer them there either, and I cannot air drop them, the only thing I have managed to do is email a few to myself but with so many it would take me years of constant emailing. I would really love to get those photos onto my computer or at least another hard drive because I am worried the iPod is going to fail one day and they will be lost forever. iPod 3rd gen iCloud photos wont load I found one of my very old apple device- a 3rd gen iPod-64gb. I managed to sign in to iCloud, set up email, browse the internet etc. However, I cannot get iCloud to upload photos to my iPod-earlier it used to upload all photos. please note, I have enabled I cloud photos and tried all trouble shoot including a hard reset. also, I cannot get access to my notes that are stored in iCloud. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Try connecting your iPod to your computer using a USB lead.
