Problem of the audio of Garageband in Macbook pro

There is a problem when I using the Garageband. It shows that "the audio is not available." and I cannot record any voice.

I tried to allow the microphone to it but I cant.....because I cant find the Garageband of the app list in "Microphone" in "Security & Privacy" of Apple menu.

Can anyone help me? Please.

Hello, JasmineO18.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I understand you're unable to use the GarageBand app because the microphone isn't available. I'd like to help. Do you have any other issues with using the mic? If you're unsure, test if it works when you record a voice memo: Record a voice memo on your Mac

You may also want to follow the steps under the "Before recording audio" section here: Before recording audio - GarageBand Help

After that, try these steps again: If you can't record audio after installing macOS Mojave or later

Keep me updated.

Cheers!

Dear Matthew.S18,

Thank you for your suggestions, I have tried and checked. Then I found that my mac is work when I record a voice memo, but the audio recording is still not available in Garageband.

I do not know how to accept the microphone to Garageband because I cannot find it on the app list in the privacy setting.

Here is the photo show you,

Do you know how to add the Garageband on the app list? Thank you very much.
