MY AIRPODS SERIAL NUMBER IS 11 CHARACTERS

one of my AirPods the right side is not charging/not working I contacted apple service they asked me the serial number when I gave them they say it supposed to be 12 characters but mine has 11 characters

My Airpods 2 serial number does not match with the charging case serial number. Why is that? Please help.

It either has 12 characters or it’s not a genuine Apple part.
