Mojave Security Update 2020-002 and Catalina 10.15.3 & 10.15.4 updated the firmware which seems to cause the Mojave sleep and shutdown crashes (especially after Safari is used in that session). So the crashes persist even after a clean 10.14.6 install before Mojave Security Update 2020-002 or Safari 13.1 update is applied (Catalina does not suffer from this bug). We are waiting for a firmware update (downgrading firmware is very difficult/impossible for the end-user).
