Overheating issues on iOS 13.5

I have been experiencing overheating on my iPhone 11 Pro Max after the iOS 13.5 update even with minimal usage (eg. Safari web browsing). Anyone else having this issue as well?

I am having the same overheating problems on 13.5.1. On some apps I can start to feel it heat up after a minute.

I have tried a few suggestions. Making sure all my apps were up to date seemed to have helped a little bit but still the problem is there.

Has anyone had any success? I am loathed to do a full factory reset especially as some people have said it made no difference.

I’m on iOS 14 with one app opened, Safari, to this site and the phone is overheating regularly to the point that the screen is hot to the touch to my fingers. It was working ok before the update with not much overheating.

I updated because XCode/MacOS on a MacBook griped that I needed to for control via Visual Studio on the Windows PC I use for development.
