Overheating issues on iOS 13.5
I have been experiencing overheating on my iPhone 11 Pro Max after the iOS 13.5 update even with minimal usage (eg. Safari web browsing). Anyone else having this issue as well?

It is not clear here in your post about the ambient temperature in your area where you are using the iPhone. However --> Keeping iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch within acceptable ...
Store the device where the temperature is between -20º and 45º C (-4º to 113º F). Don’t leave the device in your car, because temperatures in parked cars can exceed this range.
Use iOS devices where the ambient temperature is between 0º and 35º C (32º to 95º F). Low- or high-temperature conditions might cause the device to change its behavior to regulate its temperature. Using an iOS device in very cold conditions outside of its operating range might temporarily shorten battery life and could cause the device to turn off. Battery life will return to normal when you bring the device back to higher ambient temperatures. Using an iOS device in very hot conditions can permanently shorten battery life.
I have the beta. It doesn’t help either.
Yes, ever since the manual hard reset I’ve had zero overheating issues or battery drain.
It was not the factory reset that was performed, I just shut my phone off and turned it back on. Ever since then I’ve had no issues.
Me too ... on my iPhone 7 and a mini iPad. The batteries in both drain very quickly and both devices stay hot all the time.
I've done that too. It helps for a bit, but the issues reappear.
Two older devices ... both malfunctioning after a recent update ... sure hope Apple isn't practicing Planned Obsolescence ...
Another thing I’ve noticed since updating to 13.5.1 is the sound on my phone is weaker. When is Apple going to patch this?
I always keep my device in the temperature range you have specified and it overheats to the point where i can not touch the back of the phone after less than 5 minutes which obviously is not helpful.
13.6 same problem🙄
I am not facing heating issues on 13.6 but battery is still not as good as it was before 13.5
I moved to 13.6 and thought things were better but now I’m not so sure. Using a banking app earlier made my XS really hot. I’m at a loss now. Will iOS14 be the answer.
I shut my phone down and when i started it again the problem seems to have gone fingers crossed
I can confirm that iOS 13.6 has NOT resolved the problem. My phone seems to run a little less hot, but my battery life is much worse. I get half a day now.
Me too, overheating on iPhone 8 after updates to 13.5. Now just update to 13.6 and hopefully the issue is now fixed.
My iPhone 7 Plus is overheating on any application even on simple browsing! IOS 13.5.1. Any fix to that?
