It is not clear here in your post about the ambient temperature in your area where you are using the iPhone. However --> Keeping iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch within acceptable ...
Store the device where the temperature is between -20º and 45º C (-4º to 113º F). Don’t leave the device in your car, because temperatures in parked cars can exceed this range.
Use iOS devices where the ambient temperature is between 0º and 35º C (32º to 95º F). Low- or high-temperature conditions might cause the device to change its behavior to regulate its temperature. Using an iOS device in very cold conditions outside of its operating range might temporarily shorten battery life and could cause the device to turn off. Battery life will return to normal when you bring the device back to higher ambient temperatures. Using an iOS device in very hot conditions can permanently shorten battery life.
Definitely! And point them to this thread. My battery capacity has dropped down to 90%.
Exactly the same here. iPhone 7. Simple single tasks are really really really overheating my phone and my battery is draining quite fast. As soon as I lock it, it starts to cool down
Same problem on my iPhone XR. Even wathing videos on youtube makes it hot after updating 13.5
Happened tonight for me started burning my leg in pocket. Battery dropped from 98% to 41% battery life
Yip I’m in Scotland so It’s not a outside temperature problem at 1am lucky if it was 8 Celsius. I’m convinced after reading all the replies and online that this problem is from the 13.5.1 update.
Same issue with my Iphone 7, after an update to 13.5.1, it stated to over heat and shut down.
I only use my phone inside with air conditioning. Average temperature of 76° F.
Since the last update my iPhone 11 Pro is getting hot when using Safari, especially if the website has video content.
I don’t have background apps running, but it does seem to happen more frequently when I’m using an app with audio, even if it’s muted in-app
I have my iPhone 8 Plus going over heat . The issue start happening when I expect the last software 13.5 . Any idea about how you can fixed
I living in Oregon, where environment temperature is around 70°, my XR 128 GB is absolutely in noticeable overheating.
Did the hard reset fix the issue?
At normal temp my iPhone 11 overheats up on minimum usage of few apps in just 10 to 12 minutes
This is so irritating. Can anyone confirm whether reset all settings clears this up?
No. Resetting to factory does not help.
Ugh. Has anyone had success with the beta iOS?
