HomePod keeps disconnecting and reconnecting

I have two HomePods, one in a living room, one in a backroom, but within 100 feet of each other. When playing Apple Music, life is good. However, when I play something like SiriusXM or another app, one of the HomePods stops & restarts. I have rebooted, unpaired, disconnected & reconnected. It all still continues. Sometimes they aren't synched either. Oh, and I can't get synched when connected to Apple TV to act in stereo either.

Can anyone help?

Sounds like it might be the apps acting up

Try force closing these apps:

  • Try restarting ATV
  • Reboot your wifi modem

The above steps might help resolve these issues.

If using Dual Bands Wifi - HomePods don’t work well with this, try disabling the 5G and set the lower speed to be the default

  • Make sure all devices are on the same wifi network

You can also try just unplugging the HomePods for 30 seconds
