Boing! Mailbox springs back.
I've been trying to reorganize the mailboxes on my Mac. I grab it and drag it to a new location, but it just springs back to the old location.
Anyone have a slinky I can use?

How do I move the Junk Mail Folder to after the In Box folder?
You can't. The main folders for each account are grouped together by type, Inbox, Junk, Drafts, Sent, etc. You cannot move those unified mailboxes around. All of the inboxes will remain inside Inbox, all sent will be in Sent, etc. You cannot change the order of the unified mailboxes. You cannot mix the contents of the unified mailboxes.
Can I move Yellow so it's after blue?
You should be able to move the Yellow inbox after the blue inbox. But as I stated before, some have reported that the order of the accounts seems to arbitrarily change. I have never cared what order my accounts are in, so I have never paid attention to see if mine rearrange on their own.

Does the insertion bar appear where you want to drop it? That must be there, or you are not hovering over a place you can drop it.

Yeah......that's why I posted this question.
Well, a lot of people have trouble moving mailboxes around, but I don't have much trouble.
Some are trying to move Mailboxes into the Inbox, or move subfolders of the inbox around. You can't do that in Mail.
Since I can't see your Mac, you have to fully describe what you are trying to do and what you see when you do it. Otherwise, it is just us guessing at what you might be having trouble with.
For all of the default mailboxes (Inbox, Drafts, Junk, etc), They will all rearrange when you move an account in one of them. You cannot move them separately.
I have also seen posts from people complaining that after arranging the accounts in the inbox, they auto-arrange themselves.
You should be able to move the mailboxes within the groups, buy you cannot move one type to another group.
If the insertion bar doesn't appear, you can't move the mailbox to that location.
Or, there is something wrong, but I don't know what that would be.
Each color corresponds to the same email.
Within in/out/junk, etc. I have tried to rearrange the 4 accounts.
I have also tried moving Junk so that it is after In.
I don't see the Insertion symbol.
Hope this helps. Thanks.
I''m not sure I understand.
How do I move the Junk Mail Folder to after the In Box folder? The grouping is In, Flagged, Drafts, Sent, Junk.....I prefer a different order.
How can I change the sequence of the different mail accounts? Right now it's Blue, Pink, Brown, and Yellow. Can I move Yellow so it's after blue? (I covered the names so as not to publicize my email addresses.)
Thanks.
Thanks.
No it doesn't I move it between the other mailboxes and it never appears.
Yeah......that's why I posted this question.
Thanks for clarifying the first.
Anyone have an idea why I can't change the sequence of accounts within the unified folder?
