Hi,
I am working on a book with multiple section breaks. I would like the page number to populate sequentially and automatically across the document all the way through the section breaks from the beginning of the introduction to the end but can't seem to find a way to do this.
Does anyone know how to do this?

Enable thumbnail view if not already on, and then for each new section, click on the thumbnail. This will switch the right panel to the section panel where you would check Match previous section. The continue numbering from previous section is already the default. Click back in the document body to switch back to the Format panel.

Thanks much appreciated - this fixed all the page number issues.
On further question, each section requires a different footer e.g. Chapter 1; Chapter 2. Is there a way to insert these into sections without interfering with the continuous page number style now set?
Start your first section page numbering, and with the custom first section footer. In each subsequent section, uncheck Match previous section. The default Continue from previous section will handle contiguous page numbering across sections. Change your section footer.
Thanks! - when I move to a new section and uncheck Match Previous Section all of the numbers disappear from the new section and all of the Page Numbering options are greyed out in the sidebar.
Not sure what is happening - any ideas?
In each new section, click where you want the page number inserted and it will offer the current running page number.
