Empty folders being automatically generated everyday

I noticed random 0 bytes folders are being created under my documents everyday, and whenever I delete them they come back. I initially thought it was something to do with Spotify (read it elsewhere on a thread) and so have removed the automatic download function from Spotify, but this is still happening.

Any ideas why?

Thousands of folders appearing on desktop Thousands of folders are appearing on my desktop with random names. I selected them all and the first time there was 1055 folders created. I placed them all into one folder that I created and left it on my desktop while I finished my work and then I checked back an hour later and 400 more folders were created again. I tried putting them into the folder again but it was asking me if I wanted to replace a folder already in the folder I created. The same folders keep popping up on my desktop and this continued to happen three or four more times and I kept moving them into folders I created to get rid of the clutter until I could get it fixed. I did a malwarebytes scan and it detected nothing so Im not sure what the problem is and if I should bring it into the store.

Random Folders Generating on my Desktop (2021 Mac Book Pro 16 M1 Max and 2017 iMac Pro) Same as the previous submissions. Random file folders with alpha numbers and the subfolders about 3gb. Then it writes to a new folder. Occurs on both MBP and iMac Pro.

Why are junk folders greyed out Why is my junk folder gray out when I go to move to junk it will be gray out.....

Hi - I've resolved this (it turns out to be a Spotify issue after all, and had to relocate some cache files)!
