Set up friend's new iPhone after previous iPhone lost - unable to log his new phone in due to verification code request.
I am helping a friend set up his new iPhone. He lost his other phone and has no other devices linked to his apple account. Now when we try to sign in with his new iPhone it gives a Verification Failed message. A verification code likely was sent to his lost phone, so that does not help. The Apple store is not open due to CoVID-19. How do we resolve this?
