HDMI out not working on Pro Vega 2 card, 2019 Mac Pro

But using a passthrough connector connected to thunderbolt 3, HDMI works. But it's goofy and I don't want to do it. Bravia 65A38. Audio Quest HDMI forest cable with direction of signal flow reversed, but same HDMI worked with older Mac models (mini 2018, iMac 2015). I am hearing this mainly affects sound quality, but this not an issue because sound system is separate. Is this correct, and is it worth reinstalling the cables and tearing up my wall?

What else can this affect? Considering my installer was in error?

If the HDMI out is not working just by plugging a high-quality cable (rated for this resolution), then the card is broken, and you should contact support for a repair or exchange.

There are fast high-power components sitting [electrically] right next to the connector, and they may have burnt out and still left every other pathway (through thunderBolt and multiplexing) working just fine.
