How to select all photos in iCloud in one action and copy to backup drive

I want to copy all iCloud photos in one action and copy these to a back up drive in the original resolution etc. I don't want to individually select photos or do this in a batch. Also I want to avoid using iTunes or other messed up way of getting half a result. I have 21,000 photos I don't want to have to select 21,000 photos individually.

I would imagine that Apple with its a focus on users and user experience would surely not leave this most basic of functions out.

Look forward to hearing of a solution.

Thanks

Photos can’t be transferred directly from iCloud to an external hard drive for that you need to set up iCloud photo library see the article https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT204264

And its preferences https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/photos/pht5156cc968/4.0/mac/10.14 , open finder > Go > home > your user name > pictures either drag and drop Photos Library.photoslibrary to an external hard drive , the second method is right click on Photos Library.photoslibrary and click on show package contents in the upcoming column , you can also drag and drop complete masters folder to an external hard drive that is connected .

Also as per the article https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/photos/pht6d60d10f/mac

On a Mac you could simply create a local Photos Library on a volume, where you have enough free sgorage and enable iCloud Photos for this library. Do not enable Optimise Storage for this library. Wait for the pHtos to download to your Mac, the you can export them from Photos by selecting them with ⌘A. Use "File > Export > Export unmodified original".
