Ipod touch not being recognised

I Have an Ipod touch that is not being recognised on a laptop despite restoring to factory settings,restarting both laptop and ipod multiple times and making sure I have the latest Itunes. Another Ipod is being recognised with no issue. The faulty one is recognised on an older laptop. Please help. Thanks
