Junk in Mail App

Junk in Mail App

I have been receiving emails from a good, close friend for over a year, and each time he emails me it goes into my Junk folder. I have - many, many times - both (a) moved it from Junk to my In Box and (b) designated it as "Not Junk" but it continues to come into my Junk folder. How can I stop this and make it so it goes naturally into my regular In Box? It's embarrassing (he keeps asking why I haven't responded) and its frustrating as ****! Thanks!

Hi, have you tried making a Rule to move it to the Inbox?

In a Browser login to your WebMail, are they getting marked as Junk there?

Mail>Preferences>Rules>Add Rule...

Quit Mail & in a Browser login to your WebMail, see if newly arriving ones are marke Junk or spam.

I found out what was going on. (The problem isn't mine, it's on my father-in-law's account) He gets his mail through AOL but uses Apple Mail to read and send, etc. It's AOL that's putting it in SPAM, not Apple Mail. And evidently, the Apple Mail rules don't apply to mail in the junk mail filter.
