Battery not charging more than 1%

I accidentally dropped my phone into water for about 30 secs and then dried it and put it in rice to remove moisture. Now it stopped charging more than 1%. It charges up to 1% then dies in some time and again charges till 1% and then dies. It’s like a cycle repeating. Please guide me what should I do?

Try these steps once the phone is completely dry: If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch won't charge

Apple doesn't cover liquid damaged phones under warranty as the phones are only water resistant, so you will need to buy a new one if the steps do not help: About splash, water, and dust resistance of iPhone 7 and later
