Catalina calculator does not open

Installed Catalina update 10.15.5 and now the built in calculator app does not open. Anyone else have the same problem?

Yes, on 5 different Macs.

You can try deleting its preference file.

~/Library/Containers/com.apple.calculator/Data/Library/Preferences/com.apple.calculator.plist

Did you go thru the System/Software Update preference pane to update? If so download and apply the macOS Catalina 10.15.5 Combo Update.

Opens fine here. Try holding the shift key while double clicking its icon. You can also try restarting your Mac.

Did you just install the latest update (OS 10.15.5) available yesterday? I tried holding shift key and restarting the MAC. Neither worked.

The problem only started with the new OS upgrade 10.15.5
