Admin account password issues.

When I log in all works correctly. When the laptop goes into sleep, the pasword no longer works. As soon as I change user and again select the account, the password works! At first I suspected a change in keyboard mapping, but using the on-screen accessibility keyboard has the sme issue. I have reinstalled io.14.6 from Recovery Mode, no change. I have reset the Admin Password using Recovery key, no change. I cannot use the change password facility because once logged in, the Admin password no longer works!

Any ideas? I have Adobe CS installed so do not want to update to Catalina

Please check if you can login after manually clicking lock screen (Control+Command+Q) from the Menu > Lock Screen.

You can remove required password after sleep and check if any issue logging in.

> System Preference > Security & Privacy -> "General" tab.

Uncheck or untick "Require password .. after sleep or screen saver begins"

Do you get any error if you try to change admin password?
