Hey P, there is actually three different ways to do this:
The easiest way is probably just to hit Command key and then + or -
You can do this as many times as you need until it suits you.
But the thing about that is its just a simple zoom function, so it also blows up things like embedded graphics and images, which can get annoying if you're trying to read an article, and you have to scroll past a gargantuan image in the middle of it. So another way to avoid that is by going into your View tab in the menu bar, and move the cursor down to where it says Zoom In and Zoom Out. -If you press the option key while you hover the mouse over those, they'll turn into Make Text Bigger and Make Text Smaller. This is nifty because it will amplify the size of the screen text without magnifying everything else around it. And then you can continue on reading along as normal.
Your third option is actually hidden in Safari Preferences. If you go to the menu bar, and click on Safari - Preferences - Advanced, you see there's an accessibility option that says "Never use font sizes smaller than __" -and you can select what minimum size is comfortable for you. I personally have it set to twelve, because anything smaller than that is ridiculous on a giant iMac screen. But i think its default setting is nine or something like that.
Hope that all helps!
