An unusual behaviour in the cooling fan on my MacBook Air ?

Hi there,

I have noticed an unusual operation (increased speed of rotation) of the cooling fan in my MacBook Air when I am in a video call via Zoom or Skype.

The problem is it does not happen all the time, but pretty likely with video conferencing software.

Is this something that I need to worry myself with ?

Is there anything which I could try to dig deep into finding out the issue ?

Thank you.

Note : For your reference I have included the specifications of my mac.

1.2 Ghz Quad-Core Intel Core i7

16 GB LPDDR4

Intel Iris Plus Graphics 1536 MB GPU

macOS Catalina 10.15.5

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.15

Hi,

I think you don't need to worry about that.

Video conference apps are bit heavy software so that fan running high speed.

If you still worry about it, resetting SMC could help your question.
