Mac book fan

My year-old mac book air has recently started to run the fan of the laptop within minutes of using google chrome, or safari while doing simple tasks like online shopping or streaming video services. Should this be happening if not how can I fix it?

Macbook pro fan running constantly. During the last month or so, I have noticed the laptop fan running constantly and quite loudly. Anyone have any ideas on what is going on. I use Chrome web browser, and from looking online, it seems to be the culprit; however, I have had this laptop for about a year, and problem has only emerged in the last month or so.
