For thermal management Try resetting the SMC https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295

The initial three steps are the simplest and default way to reset the SMC on a T2-equipped MacBook.

The second, more complex procedure is provided if the first one odes not work for you, for example if the power button is not operating correctly.

2019 MacBook Pro 16 inch here - same thing. I hope they fix this - like soon!

Thanks SO MUCH!!! Did not even need to reset the SMC - the first three steps tor T2 chip laptops did the trick!
