Apple Watch "Log in to paired iphone" for Facebook Messenger

Hello Fellas. I have same problem on my iPhone X and Apple Watch 5. iOS and watchOS was upgraded to

latest version and also messenger was installed latest version. I tried option uninstall

and install it again and connected to app again but this workaround works maybe

5 min and after that I again see message Log in from the paired iPhone... I

think Facebook Messenger have some problem and I hope they can fix it soon as

possible... Sorry for my English I have many beers in my stomach... and now

Exact same issue here, I've had the Apple Watch Series 3 for two weeks, phone is an iPhone 11. Reinstalled Messenger multiple times, just deleted and reconnected the Watch to the phone, multiple reboots... All up to date with latest OS. Worked for like two minutes last night but since then nothing. Can see new notifications of messages, but when I try view them fully on the watch I get the error. Hoping just an issue with the latest Messenger upgrade.

I started having issues last night. I updated my watch and now the messenger only app is funky. I am leery about uninstalling the messenger app on my phone as I don’t want to loose all my conversions. Any advice on that?

I got my new Apple Watch yesterday, I had the same issue with messenger.... I tried the advice above and it worked for an hour then keeps going off and telling me to log in with paired iPhone it’s driving me mad as I keep deleting the apps and re installing, I’ve tried everything mentioned on this thread and it’s still going off. Anymore ideas would be greatly appreciated x

I have tried everything I have passed...but nuttin is working for me. I have tried this and if I am lucky it works one in 20tries and then it logs out from the watch for no reason. And remain the same.

Unfortunately this did not work for me (iPhone 6sPlus and Series 5 Watch. It's a new watch, fine for 3.5 days and then this). Used to be able to get around problems changing the quick replies, but the apple watch setting is missing from the phone App.) May try this again at the weekend.

Hi thank you so much. Mine is now working. I'm looking for a solution for more than an hour now. When I see this post I immediately try it and viola after a minute or two its now working thanks ;)

Well its got to my watch today. Done all the updates on watch 4, and 8Plus. Deleted app etc as above.

Cant log into messenger as there is no way to log out now.

restarted both and watch still says log in.

I was having this problem too and it randomly started today (May 31st). I even contacted apple support (they couldn't help because it's a third party app). Here's how I fixed it:

Make sure your watch and your phone are up to date.

Delete the app from the watch (on the watch itself and not through the app on your phone).

Delete the app from your phone.

Make sure automatic app install is off in the watch app.

Re-download the app on your phone.

Re-download the app on your watch (through the app store on the watch itself and not through your phone).

With the messenger app open on your watch (and displaying the "log in from paired iPhone" message), open the app on your phone and sign in. I got a little spinning wheel on my watch and then I was logged in on both.

Got my watch today and having the exact same issue. Anybody found a fix yet? No Apple Watch option on Facebook messenger settings anymore

it for me was working fine until two days ago. Hoping it’s just a temporary glitch. I bought the watch specifically for messaging and calls :-(
