My right AirPod won’t charge and it’s never been damaged

Why won’t my AirPod charge and connect. Every time I use my airpods one of them never connects and I always have to put them back in the box and then put them back on. I charge the box too and I’ve never dropped them or left my airpods in the laundry so I don’t why I’m having problems. I paid full price and everything
