Airpods pro disconnecting when too far away

hi guys. Read up on the specs of apple air pods pro, and they say it goes up till 800 feet, or 263.3m. However, merely walking around my house (which isnt very big), and it disconnects. Perhaps even about 5-7m when i leave the room. ANd no, i dont believe its due to walls, since i leave my room door open, with almost a straight line of sight from my kitchen. Anything i can do to fix it?
