iWatch not working with iphone

My iWatch has paired, and says it's up to date, yet both my watch and iPhone is either suck on Software Update or "Connecting Your Apple Watch". I have reset both my phone and watch to factory settings. Yet, I can't access the iWatch settings on either my phone's app or the watch. How can I get my watch to work?

What model of phone is it?.

Which model of watch is it?.

Which version of ios is on the phone?

Which version of watchOS it the watch running?

A bit more info please.
