iPad showing iPhone

Why is my iPad showing the same as my phone? We’ve had them both for a long time and haven’t changed any settings and they just started doing this today?? When I’m in my phone on messages a little phone shows up on the iPad same with safari! We’ve tried everything! We share the same Apple ID... but we’ve never had this issue when we adjust our send and receive settings correctly!
