Are you referring to iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2nd generation) or iPad Pro 11-inch (2nd generation)? iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2nd generation) is compatible with Apple Pencil (1st generation). iPad Pro 11-inch (2nd generation) is compatible with Apple Pencil (2nd generation).

You need to purchase the original 1st gen Apple Pencil with the silver, chromed band/cap at the top of the Pencil.
