iPhone and Bluetooth?

I am trying to use Bluetooth to share files to/from my iPhone SE (first edition) and my MacBook Pro which is running Mojave (macOSX 10.14.6).

The Bluetooth pane shows that they are connected, but no option to send from the computer to the iPhone shows up.

Bluetooth pairing is not required, or possible between those devices. To transfer data, use Airdrop, which requires Bluetooth and WiFi to be active, but not paired in the traditional sense.
