Photo Folder Structure

I maintain my photos in a series of folders on my Windows computer and used to be able to see the same folder structure on my iPhone and iPad. I can’t any longer. Is is possible to fix this or am I stuck with a folder system dictated by Apple which automatically puts my files in folders which are not relevant to me trying to find them again...

Photos from Photos App missing in Master Folder I've got a very large number of photos in my Photos App library. When going in to Finder > Pictures > Photos Library showing the content and opening the Master folder, there is only a single picture there, the other 10999 are missing. I want to copy some of them to an external hard drive but am at a loss as to how else to access the actual files. I do not use Time Machine as I don't understand how this works either, and frankly I should just go back to Windows as every step of the way I have problems with Mac... I would be devastated if I were to lose basically all pictures I've ever taken on my phone, as they include pictures of my family and daughter especially. Please help me :(

How to permanently delete photos off my Mac? I have recently uploaded large video files (20gb) off my old iPhone 6 to "photos" on my Mac(my iPhone runs iOS 10 I think and can't simply create "folders"). Once uploaded to "photos" on my Mac I export them to an external storage device. I delete them from the "library" and "recently deleted" section in "photos". However, after deleting them from "recently deleted" I can see they are some how moved to somewhere in "other" on my mac as the "other" section in my storage balloons from 30gb to 50gb. Does anyone know where these are going/ how to actually get rid of them?

Confused with Photos—maintaining my own folder structure for photo files What I would like to do is to use Photos, but have the image files, my photos, stored in a folder structure defined by myself. That is to say the photos are not merged into the all embracing photo library, but I want to control the image via the Photos app. By this I mean I will delete and edit the photos with the Photo app and the files are changed in my folder structure. Can this be done? I ask because I have been trying to do this for the past week. I have a half dozen folders with recent photos that I imported without “Copy items to the Photos library”, but it seems that a file deleted with the app are not deleted from the folder where the file is stored. a. Can anyone offer any advice on how best to store photos independently of Photos. b. Does anyone know of a useful guide on this? Thanks.
