Songs in iMovie

I paid and downloaded song. Its in .m4a format. I wanted to use this song for iMovie. How can I do that?

Drag it into an iMovie project, either from your desktop or by accessing it from the iMovie project audio sidebar.


Songs purchased from Apple Music, however, are DRM (copyright) protected and cannot be used in iMovie. Songs purchased directly from iTunes, without involving Apple Music in the process, are almost never DRM protected and can be used in iMovie.
