black iphone screen and continuous ringing

I have an iphoneX, and the screen went black today out of nowhere. I can barely see a faint loading circle. Also, it just rings continuously. As in, never ending! Not like, calls are still coming through, but just over and over since the screen went black. Tried the usual restarting it by holding down the side buttons...that doesn't do anything. There are no available service appointments in my area for as far out as they will let me see. Anyone know of anything I should try?
