Re-pairing of AirPods with iPhone

My airpods were forgotten by my iPhone (intentionally, was trying to re-set them). I'm trying to re-pair them. The case and the airpods are lit green - so they are charged. When I hold down the reset button for 3-4 minutes, the light stays white, it never flashes. Also, I have this weird thing on the Bluetooth screen on my phone where OTHER DEVICES beneath the list of paired devices is in an infinite state of spinning, not sure if that's a factor here. Any advice?

iPhone 7, iOS 13

When the light on the case is white, have you tried bringing the case (with both AirPods inside) close to your unlocked phone phone and opening the lid? The setup window should pop up on your phone's screen.

If steps below don't work either I would suggest reaching out to Apple support.

If you can't set up your AirPods

If you don't see the setup animation when you try to set up your AirPods with your iPhone, follow these steps. After each step, try to set up your AirPods again.

  1. Make sure that your AirPods are charged.
  2. Close the lid, wait 15 seconds, then open the lid. The status light should flash white.
  3. If the status light doesn't flash white, press and hold the setup button on the back of the case until you see the status light flash white.
  4. Still can't set up your AirPods? Press and hold the setup button for at least 15 seconds, until you see the status light flash amber a few times and then flash white.
